Karen Child Ogden, MFT - Contributor Our books encourage young readers to think about the effects technology has on their lives, specifically the activities and relationships they neglect by focusing on the Internet and other electronic devices. Many families do not know how to open the forbidden lines of communication regarding sex, pornography and the dangers of technology, yet it needs to be addressed in every home…our books are the tool to do so. Some parents want to have “the talk” but don’t know how; others are too busy or naive thinking that problems will never find their child. Research shows that by talking to your child, you reduce the likelihood that they will struggle with such addictions. At the end of each book is a special section for parents full of statistics, tips and tools to open communication and to set boundaries. We have a passion to protect, educate and entertain children and know that the best way to do so is through the parents who love them. Parents have a great responsibility, yet so many are uninformed, anxious or ill prepared to have the conversations that will really protect their children. Children today face challenges that most parents could hardly imagine. They need our involvement and our direction. We have no doubt that these books will ease the fear and discomfort that both children and parents feel regarding tough topics. It is our heartfelt vision to help children and parents globally with this rapidly growing danger. Help us arm and protect today’s children who will need the courage and strength to resist the temptations of their generation.

Karen Child Ogden, MFT Karen Child Ogden is a licensed marriage and family therapist that specializes in working with children, families, and couples on topics including pornography addiction, domestic violence, self-esteem, body image, communication skills, anger management, and parenting issues. With a bachelor’s degree in Communication from the University of Utah, and a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of San Diego, Ogden has led therapy and educational groups across the country and is actively involved in educating parents about the effects of technology on children. Ogden is proud to be a contributor to the first children’s book series that tackles the difficult topics of pornography, cell phone use and abuse, and cyber bullying. She has served on the Board of Directors for The Children’s Center in Salt Lake City from 2004-2007, and most recently as a Co-Executive Director for LifeSTAR Los Angeles. Danielle Tiano Danielle Tiano is an author with a purpose: to help children overcome daily obstacles, enrich their lives and cultivate their growth. Tiano has authored several children’s books covering important and difficult subject matter including childhood obesity, attention deficit disorder, technology addiction, cyber bulling, and self esteem. Tiano’s latest accomplishment is the Temptation of a Generation book series. The series addresses the difficult task of talking to children about how technology is changing the way they view and live their lives. She addresses the critical importance behind Internet safety, offering parents information and tools for raising their children to become more emotionally and socially equipped to handle life's challenges. Tiano’s books have earned her a devoted following amongst families nationally. An animated storyteller, she has gained attention while reading to parents, educators and students. Tiano writes in a rhyming format, which allows children to absorb the information in her stories in a more playful way. Her books have a common thread to convey to children the importance in believing in themselves. Tiano had the honor to pen a customized book for The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim baseball franchise and Miller Children’s Hospital, titled “If You Want To Play…Eat The Right Way.” Her books have also been featured on The Dr. Laura Radio Show, KOA News, ‘The Parents Hour’ on Voice America Radio, WLEA New York Radio, and Fox Sports West to name a few. With the Temptation Series, Tiano partnered with ikeepsafe.org and the PBS Network show, "The Doo-it's.” Tiano has a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. She currently resides in Newport Beach with her loving husband and best friend, Charlie, who showers her with love and support every day.

Edward Pollick Pollick’s dream of becoming a well-known artist has now become a reality. He began as a child with a box of pencils and crayons and over time, he has allowed his gift to branch out, as drawing is his soul’s purpose. He has created artwork for a significant roster of clients, ranging from Paul Frank Industries to Saturday Night Live. He is currently the Senior Illustrator for Beyond Your Words. Pollick is receiving nation-wide print, radio and television publicity for The Temptation of a Generation Series book Don’t Hit Send Just to Fit In. Pollick has a bachelor’s degree in Illustration with a focus in Two-Dimension Animation from the Academy of Art College in San Francisco. He also studied for three years in the Fine Arts Program at California State University in Fullerton. He resides in Costa Mesa, CA where he creates magic in his studio every day.
Beth Burrell
“Be creative!” is Beth Burrell’s mantra as a designer. With a love for theater, dance and photography Beth has always had an eye for design. After attending Irvine Valley College, Beth completed her education at UC Irvine with a major in Graphic Design and a minor in Web Design. Beth quickly realized her passion for print and has devoted the majority of her time to helping companies bring their identity to life. Beth has helped brand such companies as Crush Clothing, Hush Baby and The Temptation of a Generation Series. Through the years Beth has lent her design and photography skills to many companies even having the privilege to design for independent film. To date, her biggest accomplishment has been the opportunity to be a part of two amazing teams... Beyond Your Words and The Temptation of a Generation Series.
